Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
The South African Bazaar Craft Cooperative started in Northern Natal, South Africa in 2011. We operate using Fair Trade principles and practices, paying a living wage and safe working conditions to the artisans. Our goal is to assist in promoting sustainable development by providing consistent work for the skilled artisans with whom we partner. Everything is hand-made.
Our inspiration and drive comes from the knowledge that communities are being changed by expanding and developing markets for the stunning designs and creations of these talented rural artisans of South Africa.
In 2015, a storefront was opened in Takoma Park, Maryland to showcase the fine craftsmanship of South African rural artisans in the United States.
